Sport achievements
The great sporting achievements that mark the history of Wilier Triestina are not simply victories. They are the most authentic expression of our Culture of Speed.
And that culture has a face. More than one, in fact.
The face of Fiorenzo Magni, winner of the Giro d’Italia and master of the Flandrian cobbles. The face of Marco Pantani on Alpe d’Huez, of Damiano Cunego and Jakob Fuglsang at Il Lombardia, of Alessandro Ballan winning the World Championship in Varese, of Alessandro Petacchi wearing the Green Jersey at the Tour de France, and of Daniele Bennati, crossing the finish line on the prestigious Champs-Élysées. The face of Mark Cavendish who, aboard the Filante SLR, claimed his 35th stage victory at the Tour de France — the all-time record in the history of the race.
Every one of their achievements has been the concrete proof of a vision: that something unrepeatable can come from the encounter between an athlete and their bicycle.
For over a century, our bicycles have travelled the toughest roads and crossed the most prestigious finish lines in world cycling. But every victory has always been just a starting point.
Heritage Since 1906
Since 1906, at Wilier we have never just built bicycles.
For 120 years we have been shaping a tradition built on speed, elegance and Italian passion.
It all began in a small workshop, where the Dal Molin family built cycles with patience, skilled hands and respect for the craft.
It wasn’t just work; it was knowledge passed down through time, and a genuine desire to create bicycles that could carry riders further — road after road, generation after generation.
120 years have passed since then. The materials have changed, the roads have changed, and so has the way we race — but not the original spirit that lives on in the Wilier guided by the Gastaldello brothers: the care for every detail, the respect for every rider, and the love of things made well.
Because it is precisely those small details that have built what Wilier is today.
The Culture of Speed
Since 1906, we have been building the way speed takes shape.
For us, speed is not a number to chase but a vision to cultivate: it is born from attention to detail, from a relentless pursuit of perfection, from the conviction that every bike must become a natural extension of the rider. 120 years of precise choices, all pointing in the same direction —
from great sporting achievements to sought-after materials and geometries crafted for those who never settle.
For 120 years, Wilier has been creating bicycles to help you express the fastest version of yourself.
This is the Culture of Speed.
A Family Company
Wilier Triestina — a family story
Today the Gastaldello family carries forward the legacy of the Dal Molin family: a story built with passion, artisanal care and values designed to endure. With the same spirit, Andrea, Enrico and Michele are not merely guardians of a name — they continue to breathe life into a heritage made of people, sacrifice, insight and dreams.
Woven into this journey are two deep threads of Wilier’s identity: Ramato — the brand’s iconic colour, evolved over the years to inspire the modern liveries now recognised worldwide as an expression of premium paint — and the bond with the world of racing, where sports marketing continues to be a core value in telling the brand’s story and driving its growth.
It is with these principles that every Wilier bicycle is born. Not simply to be fast or beautiful, but to say something. A story that speaks of cycling culture, of elegance that has no need to show off, of the pursuit of performance without losing the human warmth of things made well.
Because, at its heart, Wilier is not just a bicycle.
It is a family story that continues, from generation to generation.
Premium Paint. Giving Colour to Motion
The bicycle is our canvas.
At Wilier, every creation begins with a silent dialogue between lines, geometries and colours. A visual language designed to convey movement even before the wheels touch the asphalt.
It is a precise, almost obsessive study, where every curve of the frame has a purpose and every shade speaks of a choice. Aesthetics and function don’t chase each other — they speak the same language, from the very first stroke on paper.
Because a bike can be designed to win, but also to leave its mark.
Innovation Lab: An idea is the beginning of something new
Innovation Lab: where every idea gains speed.
The spark that ignites innovation comes from many different places: a sudden intuition, a deep reflection, years of experience in the field. But wherever it originates, an idea is always the starting point. The seed from which, given the right conditions, something revolutionary can grow.
The Innovation Lab is the beating heart of Wilier Triestina: the Research and Development department that has fuelled the brand’s technological soul for over 120 years. Kilometres on the road, hours in the lab, details refined without pause. This is how our bicycles are born: through a process that never settles, because every rider and every enthusiast deserves to feel the authentic essence of cycling with every pedal stroke.
The Wilier touch
An unmistakable touch
At Wilier, the difference takes shape in the details: those you can see and those that remain hidden, those that are immediate and those that work in silence. Because every choice carries weight, every material is selected with precision, every step arises from a balance of technique, experience and sensitivity.
This is not the work of one person alone, but the result of shared expertise, hands and attention. A process of continuous research, exchange and day-to-day care, where every stage contributes to building something unique.
And it is precisely there that the bicycle ceases to be a simple assembly of components. It becomes something recognisable at first glance: an authentic identity, built over time through research, a culture of detail and a genuine passion for cycling.
Everything begins with an idea. An idea becomes a project. A project becomes a bike.
And every bike we build leaves its mark and teaches us something new.
In 120 years we have left many marks. We have joined them one by one, and they have traced a line: our history.
Filante Ultimate is the furthest point on that line. Everything we have learned — about materials, about speed, about the body of the rider — has gone into this bike.
The fibre of Speed
Toray M40X carbon is a considered choice.
The frame layup balances six types of high-performance fibre — Torayca M40X, T1100G, M46JB and T800S — engineered to find the precise equilibrium between stiffness, responsiveness, lightness and vibration absorption. The result is a frame that is explosive in surges, precise in accelerations, returning every watt to the rider.

The Filante Ultimate is designed to transcend time: a unique edition to experience, cherish and pass down. That is why, subject to registration, every frame is covered by a lifetime warranty.
